The Holiday Inn London Kensington is a smart, business-like four-star hotel with a pool just behind Kensington High Street tube station. It’s the hotel of choice for many visitors to London.

This modern hotel is busy, bustling and surprisingly large. Starting from its lit reception, you’ll soon escape the crowds through hallways fitted with comfy sofas. There are lots of communal areas that suit business meetings as well as holidaymakers. The hotel underwent extensive refurbishment which was completed in 2018 and is looking very clean and smart. The refurbishment programme includes a brand-new 24-hour Starbucks in the open lobby area.

Rooms are bright and well-stocked, but small. International travellers will appreciate the range of plug sockets to suit US, European and UK plugs. Bathrooms are small but modern. Upgrade your room for more space. The executive rooms are 30 square metres and come with free bottled water, robes and slippers and a free newspaper. The eighth-floor rooms have the best views.

There’s a full hot buffet breakfast at the restaurant with freshly cooked omelettes and crepes, plus there’s a large bar area on the ground floor that’s perfect day or night for snacks and drinks.

The excellent pool is one of the largest in the area and is great for a refreshing couple of laps at a small extra cost, plus there’s a nice jacuzzi and steam room. The gym is free to access for all visitors – or you can book yourself in for a transformational facial at the spa. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
