Emma Raducanu is British Airway's newest Brand Ambassador
In September 2021, age 18, Emma became the first British woman to win the US Open women's singles since 1977. We are proud to support Emma as we fly her around the world for training and tournaments, including 2022’s French and US Open, and the Master’s events in Rome and California.
Introducing Kenya Airways codeshare
Our new partnership with Kenya Airways makes it even easier for you to connect to new destinations in East and Central Africa. If you fly to Nairobi with British Airways, you’ll now be able to seamlessly connect to 20 destinations across East and Central Africa. British Airways’ Executive Club members will earn Avios and tier points when flying on eligible codeshare routes operated by Kenya Airways.
Celebrating the Best of Britain
Our great British menu will be flying from September, championing seasonality and great British produce. Look out for gastro pub favourites and British classics including traditional roasts in First and Club World.*

Catch Forty Winks before your flight
Our new relaxation zone in partnership with Restworks is now open in the First lounge at London Heathow Terminal 5. Blissful sleep pods provide a quiet, calming cocoon where you can recharge your batteries in privacy. Additional Forty Winks relaxation zones will be coming soon to the Concorde Rooms in London and New York.
Welcome to Alaska Airlines
oneworld® has officially welcomed Alaska Airlines as it 14th member airline. That’s great news as it means we can offer you many more connections across the United States, and Executive Club Members will be able to earn Tier Points and redeem Avios on Alaska Airlines services. Lounge eligible customers will also enjoy access to exclusive Alaska Airlines lounges at key airports.
Tom Kerridge and Speedbird Café
Tom Kerridge, one of Britain’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs, has designed a delicious new range of food for our Speedbird Café menu, available on short-haul economy flights. Tom created the new range with a special focus on British provenance and includes his signature sandwiches and a pie.
Book with Lounge Pass and earn Avios
You can now enjoy access to non-British Airways airport lounges across the globe with Lounge Pass, no matter what airline you are flying with or cabin you are travelling in. Choose from 600 lounges, at over 350 airports worldwide, including more than 45 in the UK. Executive Club Members can collect 5 Avios per £1/€1/$1 spent.
New look comfort items
Our World Traveller experience just got comfier, with freshly designed blankets and cushions. Exclusive to our economy cabin beyond Europe, you can relax and drift to sleep with ergonomically designed seats and updated comfort items.
These renewed comfort items are now available on London Heathrow flights and will be available on London Gatwick flights from 1 March 2020.
Guinness World Record breakers
To mark this year’s Sport Relief, British Airways colleagues were joined by sporting greats to achieve a Guinness World Records title for the Heaviest Aircraft Pulled Over 100 Metres by a mixed team.
The 90-strong team, including Sport Relief Ambassadors Joe Wicks, Gabby Logan, Gary Lineker, Nicola Adams, Iwan Thomas and Alfie Hewitt, pulled our brand new A350 aircraft, weighing a massive 182.9 tonnes, as part of a fundraising effort in support of Flying Start, our global charity partnership with Comic Relief.
New Royal Air Maroc codeshare
We’ve teamed up with Royal Air Maroc, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Morocco, to offer a codeshare partnership on flights between Europe and Africa. This means that British Airways customers can now connect seamlessly to Royal Air Maroc’s Casablanca hub and onto their extensive network beyond including Agadir, Abidjan and Freetown. Customers can book their entire journey on ba.com, benefit from lounge access based on cabin eligibility and frequent flyers will earn Avios points on the codeshare routes operated by Royal Air Maroc. As Royal Air Maroc will become the newest member of oneworld on 1 April 2020, Executive Club Members will earn and redeem Avios and miles in each carriers’ respective frequent flyer programmes.
Fly carbon neutral
Did you know that British Airways is now offsetting carbon emissions for all flights within the UK? The emissions from these flights are offset and invested in carbon reduction projects around the world, including rainforest protection programmes and reforestation. If you’re travelling internationally and are concerned about your carbon footprint, you can reduce your impact on the environment by using our carbon offsetting tool.
Supersonic support for kids
Ever wondered what a flying car will look like? Well, we’re one step closer thanks to a partnership with the Air League Trust and Aston Martin.
To fund a scholarship for young people, we’re creating 10 luxury cars using Concorde blades and all the hallmarks of our distinguished heritage design.

World Kindness Day (13 November) marks the beginning of a new partnership between British Airways and the British Red Cross. We’re supporting their vital crisis response teams to connect human kindness with human crisis in communities across the UK.
TAG by British Airways
TAG is a reusable digital bag tag that seamlessly connects your luggage to your smartphone. Simply attach your personal TAG to your luggage before bag drop and link it with your British Airways app to ensure your details travel with your bag on its journey.

The High Life Shop pre order service which was recently extended to London Gatwick short haul flights is now also available on London Heathrow short haul flights. New codeshare partnership with Fiji Airways
British Airways and Fiji Airways (FJ) have started a codeshare partnership to offer you a choice of new destinations in the South Pacific.
From today, British Airways will start selling flights between Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles and San Francisco and the Fijian gateway of Nadi direct on ba.com. If you're a member of the British Airways Executive Club, you can also collect Avios on your booking.

We're revamping all lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 5 and have already started with the Concorde Room earlier this year. More improvements to our lounges around the world will follow, including Aberdeen, Rome, Geneva, San Francisco, Johannesburg, Manchester and Chicago.
