On Business.

On Business is our global loyalty programme for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs)

The programme runs across British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia; giving Members the opportunity to:

  • collect On Business Points which can be used for Reward Flights or Cabin Upgrades
  • access Member-only discounts
  • benefit from an extensive choice of flights, schedules and destinations across all three airlines

What’s more, customers who are also members of a frequent flyer programme can simultaneously earn Frequent Flyer Points (e.g. Avios) and status for themselves whilst travelling. Travellers just need to join the American Airlines AAdvantage®, British Airways Executive Club, Finnair Plus or Iberia Plus – or any other oneworld® frequent flyer programme to start collecting Frequent Flyer Points (e.g. Avios) for themselves.

Creating a Member account

Customers can join the On Business programme at onbusiness.britishairways.com

Only company employees can join the On Business programme and you are not able to register on their behalf.

New Members will receive a welcome bonus of triple On Business Points when they book and travel on their first 6 eligible flights within the first 12 months of membership.

Once enrolled, customers will:

  • receive an On Business Membership Number for their company (eg OB12345678) which should be used when booking Eligible Flights and redeeming Reward Flights.
  • receive unique login details (log-in ID and password) for the Company Authoriser, the Programme Administrator, the Traveller and all Nominated Travel Agents

On Business tiers

We have 3 tiers available in the On Business programme. New Members are automatically in Tier On1 and they will progress through to Tiers On2 and On3 as they spend more on company travel. This is based on the amount they spend on fares and any carrier imposed charges (YQ) in a year. As their travel spend increases, the points earning rate is boosted by up to 50%.

You can be nominated by the company to administer key aspects of the programme on their behalf. You can access the On Business account to: 

  • book flights
  • redeem points for Reward Flights and Cabin Upgrades
  • add or remove employees from the programme

Customers can nominate multiple agents from any travel agency and this can be changed at any time.

To add a new Nominated Travel Agent, customers should:  

  1. log into their On Business account
  2. click 'Company account' > 'Nominated Travel Agents'
  3. click 'Add a new travel agent'

To update a Nominated Travel Agent, customers should:

  1. log into their On Business account
  2. click 'Company account' > 'Nominated Travel Agents'
  3. click 'View/edit > 'Edit details'
  4. click 'save'

A single SSR CLID entry needs to be added to the PNR for each participating airline (BA, IB or AA) in the itinerary.

If SR CLID CX entered it will either error at time of entry (if CX does not have bilateral agreement for use of SSR CLID with the booking GDS) or be rejected/ignored by Carrier CX as information is irrelevant to them.

In all examples below OB12345678 = On Business Membership Number. The format will always be OB followed by 8 numerical characters
