If a customer has their leg in a plaster that prevents them from sitting normally in a seat, they must purchase an extra seat. It is not possible for them to sit with their injured leg in the aisle.

Customers with a fused/immobilised leg are entitled to a bulkhead seat or a seat with sufficient legroom.
The following medical conditions do not require specific seating as described by Government Affairs, Equality & Diversity and British Airways Health Services:
Allergies | DVT, thrombosis or blood clot |
Full leg casts* | Injured/bad back, toe, ankle or any other body part |
Arthritis | Elderly / frail or slow walker |
Half leg casts | Pregnant |
Diabetes | Fear of flying, nervous, scared |
Heart pacemaker /heart condition |
Tall passengers |
*Customers are able to keep their leg elevated when travelling in First or Club World, otherwise they may need to purchase an extra seat to do that. It is not possible to sit with their injured leg in the aisle.
