HANNAH: My name is Hannah Smith, and in 2014 I received the devastating news I had cancer.
I was only 24.
I don’t know how to describe the moment, but I will remember it for the rest of my life.
And it made me question who I am, and what the world is.
I started to live for now, realising that life is way too short.
There were a handful of people who helped me through it, so I wanted to thank them
So I decided to book an amazing trip for us, to celebrate being cancer-free
Vegas is the place, where you can do anything at any time
It’s a place I thought about a lot during my treatment, and that’s why we decided to go
Except what we didn’t realise was that this was going to be more than just a holiday, it was going to be the trip of a lifetime for us all.
MR GUADAGNI (General Manager, Nobu Hotel, Caesar’s Palace): Welcome to Nobu Hotel. Today you are our celebrities, so we’ll take great care of you. It doesn’t get any better and bigger than this.”
SERVER CAPTAIN (Mr Chow, Caesar’s Palace): Welcome to Mr Chow, my name is Daniel. Myself, Britney and Dylan will be taking care of you this evening.
HANNAH: I ticked more off my bucket list than I could ever have imagined.
Making it to the US for the very first time,
Travelling like a VIP in First Class,
Cruising down Las Vegas Boulevard in a stretch limo,
Flying by helicopter over the Grand Canyon… and way more.
It was completely unforgettable.
So my advice to anybody who is thinking of going to Las Vegas, or anywhere
Is ‘do it’, don’t wait, grab life by two hands. You never know what’s around the corner.
