If you’re catching a connecting flight from another London airport, please allow yourself plenty of time to travel there from London City. If your bags are labelled for your next destination and you’ve been given a boarding pass for your next flight, you won't need to collect your bags before you leave the airport. However, if your bags are labelled with ‘LHR’, ‘LGW’ or ‘LON’ when you check them in, you’ll need to pick them up at baggage claim before continuing your journey.
London City Airport is very well connected. You can catch a train from the nearby Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station, located just 50 metres from the airport terminal, every seven minutes. You’ll reach Canning Town in 10 minutes, where you can transfer onto the London Underground network. A licensed taxi rank is also located directly outside the terminal building, or you can pre-book an airport transfer before you travel.
