For that Instagram story hype: Anse Source D’Argent

Pink-hued rocks, contrasting shades of blue sea and exotic green trees, make this Seychelles beach one of the most picture-perfect. No filter needed here – make a desirable vlogger post in seconds for friends and viewers to enjoy, then put your phone away to soak up the natural charm. Situated on the west coast of the easy-going island of La Digue, arrive early in the morning and enjoy its replenishing serenity, before the crowds reach this popular photo taking destination. Know this – there is a small fee of 100 SCR to access this extraordinary beach.

For capturing a mesmerising sunset: Anse Lazio

Lap up the half a mile of powder-soft sands, turquoise waters and wondrous views, at one of the best beaches in the world on north Praslin. Come daytime, this place is thriving with tourists, keen to witness the natural beauty in this corner of the world. Make a move here early in the morning for a time when the beach is deserted, to enjoy a touch of solitude. When others start to leave this spot of heaven, stay to see the real piece of magic from nature – when the sun goes down. Watch the sky catch fire with an unforgettable sunset and simply take in the moment.

For a surfer’s paradise: Anse Intendance

Without a reef to calm the shallow waters of this pristine beach, hit the surf and make a splash with waves to play on. This quieter patch of utopia in south Mahé is spectacular for surfing and bodyboarding thrills with a view. Cascade over foaming waters, with sights of tangled jungle, ivory sands and crystal-clear ocean. Although the warm waters appear inviting, it’s advisable not to swim here from June to September, as waves become incredibly rough and spontaneous. Sun worshippers and beach breakers, should look out for turtle nests hatching from October to February – for a wildlife marvel.

Where to stay: Banyan Tree Seychelles

When you’re not on your board catching waves, enjoy a lavish picnic on the silky sand beach and take in the serene scenery, with a stay situated next to Anse Intendance. Dine on plates of delicious Creole and unwind in the pampering haven of the spa.

This glorious beach is only accessible by foot, so you can get away from the hustle and bustle of overcrowded beaches. Take a picnic and make yourself comfortable on the blissful horseshoe cove. Tread carefully and explore the rock pools at low tide, bathe in the delights of the shallows and find your inner adventurer to rock climb over the gold and pink boulders. Sunbathe the day away or cool off under the plentiful palm-tree shade, scattered beside the beach.
