Sauze d'Oulx is known for its lively après ski, which starts by the slopes and continues until the discos and nightclubs close in the small hours of the morning.
Ski-buses serve the lifts that run from the outer village to the highest peak of Col Basset. From here you overlook the nearby town of Sestriere. The long, tree-lined slopes above Sauze d'Oulx are particularly suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. This is the biggest ski resort in the Milky Way ski area and offers splendid cruising terrain and a diverse aprés ski scene. Skiers and snowboarders looking to cover lots of terrain, and party into the night, will find Sauze d'Oulx to be a great choice.

The main nursery area is located at Sportinia, a short lift ride away from Sauze d'Oulx. Easy progression slopes are few and far between here, yet brave beginners will find that some of the red runs are gentler than on other mountains. It is easy to find ski schools offering English-speaking tutors in Sauze d'Oulx.
