As the largest city in Kosovo, Pristina is a developing destination attracting new tourists year on year. Its cosmopolitan café culture, lively nightlife venues and Ottoman mosques and bazaars make it an interesting and alternative city break.
Pristina has the most youthful population in the whole of Europe, helping to create its distinctively vibrant, friendly and idiosyncratic atmosphere. While it’s not the most aesthetic Balkan city, it boasts intriguing attractions, from bustling bazaars to quirky coffee shops serving famous macchiatos. See the Newborn Monument which is repainted annually to mark Kosovo’s independence and explore the historic Imperial Mosque in the old quarter. The Kosovo National Art Gallery is well worth visiting if you enjoy contemporary art whilst Kosovo Museum is the largest in the country, housing a range or intriguing archaeological artefacts. Pristina is also ideally situated to explore the dramatic countryside and charming towns on its outskirts– including the picturesque town of Prizren. Book your holiday to Pristina with British Airways to enjoy direct flights and high-quality service before touching down in Kosovo’s up-and-coming capital.
