Is Milan cheap to visit?

A trip to Milan can be very affordable, especially if you visit in the low season (between November and March), saving you money on both flights and accommodation. Once you’re there, take advantage of the city’s efficient public transportation system by buying a block of ten tickets (a blochetto) and staying in a quieter neighbourhood like Porta Venezia or Citta Studi.

Is it easy to get around Milan?

Once you touch down in Milan, you’ll be landing at one of three airports. Linate Airport (LIN) is the closest to the city centre and a taxi or shuttle bus takes around 20 minutes. Malpensa Airport (MXP) is a larger airport that's farther from the city centre (taking around 50-60 minutes by train). The most convenient and economical option is to take a train straight to Milano Centrale. Taxis are also available from outside all airports.
