Wine and dine: Ocean Restaurant

White shutters and equally pristine table linens set the tone of this stylish restaurant. The interior is inspired by the coastal setting, but you’d be forgiven for only having eyes for the ocean view. Seasonal a la carte and daily-changing menus are inspired by local Jersey produce, and complemented by the extensive wine list. The three course Sunday lunch is the perfect indulgence on a lazy weekend away. Take this to the next level if you’re visiting over Christmas or New year, with a menu tailored to the occasion. Or soak up your surrounds over a teapot, finger sandwiches and scones (with Jersey cream obviously) at a deliciously-refined afternoon tea.

What to order

You must sample the seven-course tasting menu, which uses Jersey’s finest and freshest ingredients. Locally sourced, from coast to countryside, Head Chef Will Holland's delicious creations are inspired by the flavours of Jersey. His passion for locally sourced ingredients, coupled with his honest and innovative style – and internationally-acclaimed status – make this menu a must-try.

Wine and dine: The Restaurant

Many restaurants in Jersey are big on locally sourced products, but The Restaurant goes one step further by using homegrown produce from their kitchen garden. Simplicity and flavour are a winning combination throughout Head Chef Andrew Baird’s inventive menus. He’s forged fantastic relationships with the best local suppliers, resulting in a collection of mouth-watering menus. The fantastic Table d’Hôte dinner offering is fine dining at its best. Two unique settings appeal to two very different moods. The grandeur of the 15th Century Oak Room perfectly complements a romantic meal or special occasion – with exquisite fine dining and an extensive wine list to match. Whereas the Garden Room’s more relaxed setting is perfect for a leisurely lunch to remember.

What to order

Enjoy a Pimm’s in the sunshine before sampling the ‘Recipes from the Garden’ lunch menu. The importance of homegrown and locally sourced ingredients shines through, whether it’s the freshest Jersey crab or salad which has been handpicked from the garden. They even have their own supply of honey. Why not take a look around for yourself? You can take an optional tour before your lunch.
