Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa is located on a peninsula on the south east corner of Mauritius. It is surrounded by the clear turquoise waters of a marine park. It achieves a perfect balance between a vibrant, bustling pool area and quiet, peaceful gardens.
Thanks to its proximity to the Island’s only airport, around three and a half miles away, transfers are short. The old capital, Mahebourg, is about eight miles away, and the capital, Port Louis, can be reached in just over 30 miles.
All of the rooms are sea facing and the hotel offers a choice of three beaches, each with an individual atmosphere. A broad range of accommodation allows for single travellers, couples and families. Family apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Shandrani Beachcomber has three different beaches to discover and there is a good range of water sports and on land activities to enjoy, You can also indulge in relaxation and rejuvenation at the Spa – The Art of Wellness, amidst lush tropical surrounding. You'll also have access to the hammam and sauna facilities free of charge. Kids' and teenagers alike can also enjoy treatments when accompanied.
There is a dedicated kids' club for children aged 3 to 11 years old. Petit Club caters for little ones aged 2 to 3 years offering numerous activities too.
Dining information
Le Grand Port is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering buffet style meals including international and local fare. Le Sirius is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a choice of buffet or a la carte style of meal with light tropical cuisine. Porto Vecchio is open for lunch and dinner and specialises in fine Italian and Mediterranean-style cuisine. Le Boucanier is open for dinner offering an la carte menu featuring international, traditional local and seafood special menu. While Teak Elephant specialises in Thai cuisine and delights guests with its elegant setting. Blue Bay bar and Le Sirius bar both serve snacks too.
Additional information
Restaurants will offer an a la carte service and any buffets will no-longer be self-service. Access to the hotel’s spa and gym facilities will require a reservation, as there will be a reduced capacity. You will need to take a shower prior to any spa treatments and use of the steam baths. There will be a limited capacity in the pools, the ski platform and group activities such as the glass bottom. There will no snorkelling activities available until further notice. The kid’s club will also have a reduced capacity and activities may vary accordingly.
In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) a face mask must be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained. There will be thermal temperature screening procedures in place before you access some facilities, such as the spa, fitness centre, water sports activities and the kids’ club.
