Overview

Royal Neptun Hotel is a modern, light-filled beachfront property, situated on the rocky Lapad peninsula of Dubrovnik. Surrounded by mature pine trees, the hotel forms part of the larger Royal Hotels and Resort complex. It provides shared facilities, including a Blue Flag beach, a la carte restaurants and seven outdoor pools, plus a wellness and fitness zone.

The hotel is positioned directly on the stunning Adriatic coastline, overlooking Babin Kuk, Lapad Bay and the Elaphite Islands. A day trip to the medieval and beautifully restored Old Town of Dubrovnik is just under four miles away. A stroll around the historic city walls is a highlight that takes around two hours. For the best views of Dubrovnik, head north to Mount Srđ, which peaks at 413 metres above sea level. Its mountain top is easily accessible by cable car, and you can visit the cable car station’s Homeland War exhibition. Dubrovnik International Airport is 15 miles from the hotel.

Dining information

The Royal Terrace is the hotel’s flagship buffet restaurant which overlooks the picture-perfect Adriatic Sea, offering indoor and outdoor dining on the terrace. A generous buffet breakfast is served here with a choice of fruit, cereals, yoghurts, sausages, cured meats, sliced cheese and egg dishes. In the evening, the weekly grill buffet is always a big hit with meat lovers. Sit outside at one of the best tables to capture the stunning sunset.

Dining at additional restaurants within the hotel complex provides even more variety. Restaurant Zoe serves a selection of fish, scampi or shellfish, prepared in the traditional Mediterranean way. Meanwhile, La Castile is a relaxed, yet sophisticated, all-day dining option. Vista Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, serving healthy dishes and delicious vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

For a relaxed beach vibe, stop by On The Rocks, which is set directly on the beachfront. Here you can enjoy light bites and snacks or sip your favourite cocktail. For the best sunsets, head to the exclusive rooftop bar Blue Sky Lounge for a drink – or pick up a coffee, cake, smoothie or ice cream from Bono.
