VOI Alimini Resort offers a stretch of private beach, 34 acres of greenery and pine forests, and a southern Italian setting, close to plenty of picturesque cities.
Located in Italy’s ‘heel,’ in the province of Lecce, a sandy beach and the Adriatic Sea are just 45 metres from the hotel, and the clear blue Alimni Lakes are less than five miles away. The resort is eight miles from Otranto, 25 miles from the centre of Lecce, offering baroque palaces and churches, and less than 100 miles from the whitewashed conical buildings of Alberobello.
Accommodation is simple, scattered around the extensive resort, and comprises Classic and Superior options. Classic rooms are characterised by red and orange tones, and feature a patio or balcony overlooking the gardens or sea. Superior rooms feature bright, neutral décor, with views out to sea.

As well as a private beach, there is a freshwater swimming pool with shallow areas for children. The Gelsomoro Wellness centre provides a further pool indoors, as well as a whirlpool, Turkish bath, sauna and range of beauty and massage treatments. Younger guests from babies to teens can participate in dedicated activities and entertainment for specific age groups, as well as evening dance shows and musicals for the whole family.
A wealth of sporting facilities are provided here – choose from group lessons in archery, tennis (five floodlit courts are on-site and trained instructors assist all abilities), windsurfing, canoeing and yoga, and try your hand in beach volleyball, tennis, bowls and table tennis tournaments. Football fans will enjoy weekly football camps with professional instructors, and golf enthusiasts will find a six-hole executive course and driving range on-site. You can even try both sports combined with footgolf facilities and lessons available.
Dining information
The main restaurant, Gli Ulivi, serves typical Puglian cuisine with a veranda facing the pool – gluten free options are also available. A pizzeria on the veranda is open for lunch and dinner. Located on the beach, Chiringuito Restaurant offers a light buffet, pizzas and grilled food (reservations required and additional charges apply). You can also enjoy a traditional buffet dinner at Osteria Salentina, accompanied by local wines (reservations required and additional charges apply). La Terrazza pool bar provides snacks, drinks and entertainment, and children aren’t forgotten with their very own restaurant at the kids’ club.
