Short haul fares to suit you
British Airways’ fare structure gives you a choice of three fares when you fly in Euro Traveller, our short haul economy cabin: Basic, Plus and Plus Flex. This gives you greater flexibility and allows you to pay for only the benefits and services you need.
Basic
Basic fares are ideal when you want the lowest possible fare. You’ll still have an allocated seat when you check in and it includes our generous hand baggage allowance. With Basic fares, you have the option of paying to add a checked bag, choose your seat, or other extras via Manage My Booking.
Plus
Plus fares offer a suite of benefits to make your journey simpler and easier. You can take more with you, choose where you sit and make free flight changes on the day of departure.
Plus fares include a generous checked baggage allowance in addition to your hand baggage allowance. You can choose your seat for free from 48 hours before you fly, and if your plans change last minute when a meeting ends early, or you want to stay a bit longer, you can change your flight for free on the day of travel, up to one hour before your scheduled departure time on a direct British Airways flight, so long as you haven't checked bags in to your original flight. Changes at any other time, or on connecting journeys, can be made for a fee plus the fare difference. Just make the change via ba.com, the British Airways app or via your travel agent. Plus Flex
Plus Flex fares are ideal if your personal schedule is likely to change. They bring you the greatest flexibility and you can even cancel your flight for a full refund if you need to. In addition, you can choose exactly where you sit when you book and even switch for free to a more convenient flight up to one hour before your scheduled departure time on a direct British Airways flight, so long as you haven’t checked bags in to your original flight.
