Overview
Viceroy Riviera Maya is an intimate, Mayan retreat on the northeast Caribbean coastline, nestled between the luscious jungle and glistening ocean. This adult-only, beachfront hotel combines the luxury of modern amenities with the wild beauty of the Yucatan jungle. Upon arrival you’ll be ushered in through beautiful arching wooden gates and greeted with a traditional warm shaman welcome. On from the stunning lobby with open-air seating, you can experience authentic Mexican cuisine at one of the hotel's on-site restaurants or meditate by a rippling waterfall at the jungle gym. Each of the 41 villas feature a private plunge pool, as well as access to the resort's Mayordomo butler service, providing personalised pampering from the moment you arrive.
Set on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the award-winning Viceroy Riviera Maya offers a resort of natural beauty and discovery. It is spread across six acres of spectacular Riviera Maya coastline, fringed with lush ferns, palms and guava trees – the playground of a resident family of friendly spider monkeys. The sugary-white sands fronting the hotel stretch for several miles and the beach cabanas are perfect for relaxing. The resort is three miles north of popular Playa del Carmen, known for its beach scene, restaurants, boutiques and nightlife. While Cancun International Airport is just over 30 miles from the hotel.
The private villas of Viceroy Riviera Maya are tucked away under the shade of rich jungle foliage, and crowned by high-ceiling thatched-palapa and wooden roofs that blend seamlessly with the luscious environment. Guests arrive to a 'Mayan Blessing' performed by the Mayan shaman, presented with a hand cut, locally made artisan soap and are personally escorted to their villa. Luxury Villas feature an outdoor moon shower taking pride of place while private sunbathing decks offer total bliss in the Royal Villas. The lavish deep-soaking tubs with artisan Mayan soaps in the Signature Villas are sought-after or opt for exquisite sea views in the Beachfront Villas. Each villa implores its residents to immerse in the beauty and sanctuary of nature. In your room, exclusive Natura Biss and Roil by Amanda George toiletries, complimentary cotton robes and a welcome gift of Mezcal and a selection of locally made soaps also await you.

Dining information
La Marea offers authentic Mexican cuisine prepared by new exciting young cook, Julio Cesar Chavez Arias who leads the team at this fine-dining restaurant. A la carte dishes can be enjoyed in the restaurant, on the Library Lounge's open-air patio or you can choose a more private in-room dining experience. Decadent spreads include fresh tropical fruit and juices, sweet French toast and traditional Mexican egg dishes – the Rancheros and the Sunrise juice are firm favourites. This eatery also serves up Mexican street food during its themed evenings. Sample local delicacies like Tamales and Mexican style pizza topped off with some sweet churros for dessert. Private dining at the waters edge can be arranged, prepared by Chef Julio - winner of Mexico’s Cook of the Year. For a more relaxed dining experience, head to Coral Grill. This beachside venue flanks the pool the serves wood smoked dishes, straight off the grill - with views overlooking the ocean.
