Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa offers an authentic Bermudian experience, steeped in tradition since 1923. It is nestled on a remote 23-acre peninsula, boasting breathtaking ocean views and access to four sandy beaches. This resort features a variety of accommodation, an infinity-edge pool, a full-service spa with a fitness centre and indoor pool, three restaurants and an on-site water sports centre.
The resort lies in north-west Bermuda, close to the Somerset Long Bay West Nature Reserve. Dockyard is around three miles away, home to museums, craft markets and shops, a couple of restaurants and bars, and you can take a 10-minute ferry ride to Hamilton from here. You can also tee off on the 18-hole Port Royal Golf Course, around four miles away. Bermuda International Airport is around 17 miles from the hotel.
The 86 rooms, suites and stand-alone cottages are scattered across the grounds, offering water views of Mangrove Bay, Long Bay Beach or the Atlantic Ocean. They are decorated in neutral tones, using a myriad of fabrics and natural furnishings to make each room feel distinctive. They all have a private terrace or balcony, offering water views. One Bedroom Water View Suites afford a separate bedroom and living room, or the Two and Three-Bedroom Cottages can comfortably accommodate larger families.

Those of an energetic persuasion can turn to a wide selection of activities including non-motorised water sports such as kayaks and paddleboards, pickleball, tennis, basketball, bocce, a putting green, a croquet lawn and a fitness centre. You can also rent bikes, electric vehicles, scooters or mopeds to explore the island, and enjoy special member rates at a range of golf courses.
The more genteel can spend days reclining around the oceanfront infinity pool, or unwind on one of four sandy beaches. Long Bay Beach offers food and drinks service, as well as non-motorised water sports; Turtle Cove is ideal for snorkelling; and Pegem Beach and Morning Beach provide a tranquil atmosphere. You can also cool down in the indoor pool, or retreat to the Ocean Spa for a massage or yoga session. The spa suites feature a steam room, cooling mist room, rainfall shower and sauna.
Dining is a particular feature of this resort -– from summer 2022 Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa will relaunch its three restaurants.
Start the day with breakfast at Tamarisk Restaurant, located adjacent to Sunken Harbor Club. When you just can’t leave the beach, Breezes offers delicious casual dining right on Long Bay Beach. Pastel is set overlooking the infinity pool and shimmering waters of Mangrove Bay. This restaurant serves the perfect light bites for lunch including poke bowls, fish tacos and a sushi selection, as well as their own house-made rainbow sherbet. While away the evening at Sunken Harbor Club, where St. John Frizell extends his New York City cocktail bar, and Executive Chef Keith De Shields's highlights his authentic Bermudian fare using local ingredients. For those intimate, ‘toes in the sand, dinner experiences you can reserve a spot in a hidden cove with sunset views at a supplementary charge.
If you’re staying on Half Board, you can enjoy a daily breakfast and a three-course meal at Breezes Beach Bar & Grill. Room service is not included in the ‘Dinner Plan’ package.
The Ocean Spa, Aquarian Baths and indoor pool are adult-only areas welcoming guests 13 years and older, and 16 and older for spa treatments.
We strongly recommend that transfers are booked in this destination. Transfers must be booked as additional items, and separate vouchers will be required.
Public ferry transport is available at Dockyard nearby. Bermuda Public Transportation passes and tokens can be purchased in advance at the resort (subject to availability) or in Somerset Village.
There is a ‘resort casual’ dress code at all restaurants and bars. This means that you should always cover swimwear and wear closed or open-toe shoes. Gentlemen can wear shorts, trousers or jeans with a T-shirt, polo or collared shirt. Women can wear dresses or a blouse or T-shirt with shorts, trousers, jeans or a skirt.
