An update on the threat of industrial action

Proposed industrial action by BALPA

Last updated 5 August 2019, 11:20

We have been working with the pilots’ union, BALPA, to reach an agreement on pay and we are continuing with talks at ACAS.

BALPA has yet to issue any strike dates, so we are continuing to run a full schedule. By law they must give us at least 14 days’ notice of any disruption to flights.

We would ask you to review your contact details by visiting Manage My Booking, or by contacting your travel agent, so that we can get in touch with you directly if there are any changes to your booking.

Flights operated by the following airlines are unaffected by this industrial action and will continue to offer a full schedule over the period.

  • All BA CityFlyer services to and from London City including any regional services
  • Comair
  • Sunair

We understand how precious your summer holidays are and we are very sorry BALPA has threatened to call this strike action. We will continue to exhaust every possible means to avoid it and we urge BALPA to return to talks as soon as possible.

We will keep this page updated with further information as it becomes available.

By law they must give us at least 14 days’ notice of any disruption to flights.
