If your flight has been cancelled there are several options available to you.

Want to change your booking?

If you would like to change your booking you can choose from one of the following options. If you booked via a travel agent, please contact them directly to discuss further arrangements for your booking.

If you want to change the dates of your booking

For bookings made from 3 March 2020 onwards for journeys that are due to have been completed by 30 April 2022, and for bookings made prior to 3 March 2020 for journeys due to have started by 28 February 2021, go to Manage My Booking to change your dates.

We’ve waived our change booking fee so you will not be charged, although you will need to pay any difference in fare. This is applicable to:

  • bookings made from 3 March 2020 onwards for travel to be completed by 30 April 2022
  • booked on any British Airways marketed routes, excluding franchise airline Sun-Air routes
  • booked direct via our contact centres, ba.com or trade outlets

If your destination changes to red or amber

If you have booked a flight, and are travelling between 1 July and 30 September 2021 to a country which is added to the amber or red list while you are at your destination, we will waive any fare difference so you can rebook your return journey to an earlier date if necessary at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Please note that any fare difference is still applicable when changing destination.

If you want to change the destination and the dates of your booking

For bookings made prior to 3 March 2020 for journeys due to have started by 28 February 2021 or for bookings made from 3 March 2020 onwards, for travel completed by 30 April 2022, please complete the online voucher form to change both your destination and dates. We will cancel your booking on your behalf and email you a voucher to the value of your booking, valid until 30 April 2023.

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked using a voucher must be fully completed by 30 April 2023 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.

IMPORTANT: Please do not amend or cancel your booking in Manage My Booking - we will do this on your behalf.

Need to cancel your booking?

If you booked via a travel agent, please contact them directly to discuss cancelling your booking.

You can claim a voucher to the value of your booking, valid for travel until 30 April 2023, if:

  • You booked prior to 3 March 2020 for travel due to have started by 28 February 2021
  • You booked from 3 March 2020 onwards for travel due to be completed by 30 April 2022

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 April 2023 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.
