As an Executive Club Member, when you book a flight from 18 October 2023 you’ll collect Avios on British Airways-marketed flights based on the price of your ticket instead of the distance you fly.

Whenever and wherever you fly, you can earn Avios with British Airways, our oneworld® alliance partners and our other airline partners. You can earn Tier Points too, on British Airways and oneworld® flights.
How it works
Almost all flights are eligible. The only flights you do not earn Avios or Tier Points on are reward flights, agency discounted fares and industry discounted fares. Be sure to check your fare class is eligible with the airline you are travelling on below.
The amount you collect depends on which airline you fly, how far you fly, the cabin you fly in, the type of ticket you hold and your Executive Club tier. The easiest way to work it out is to use our flight calculator. The details of each airline's policies are set out below.

The further you move through the tiers of the Club the more Avios you'll collect. Bronze, Silver and Gold Members earn the following tier bonuses on British Airways flights:
- Bronze – 25% extra Avios
- Silver – 50% extra Avios
- Gold – 100% extra Avios

A codeshare flight is where two or more airlines share the same flight. It is operated by one airline under their own code and has additional flight numbers under the codes of other airlines. For example, the British Airways flight BA219 also operates under the American Airlines code AA6170.
The Avios and Tier Points that you earn depends on both the airline flight number that is on your ticket and the partnership agreement in place with that partner. The amount you earn is determined by the airline code you booked under.
