Hotel Bozica is a peaceful, boutique property set along the south-east shores of Sipan – an island off the coast of Dubrovnik. It features a stunning infinity pool with poolside bar service and a private beach for refreshing dips in the Adriatic Sea. There’s a good selection of charming rooms, suites and apartments, most of which boast sea views. Furthermore, there’s an on-site restaurant serving delicious dishes from ingredients grown at the hotel’s farm, as well as a bar and lounge area.
If you’re looking to experience the Dubrovnik region without staying in its centre, the location of this hotel is hard to beat. It sits in the small harbour village of Sudurad on Sipan – the largest of the Elafiti Islands, approximately 13 miles off Dubrovnik’s coastline. This small laid-back archipelago is known for its ancient olive groves, stunning vineyards and several historic sites and monuments. The island is also well-suited to walking and cycling, with scenic coastal paths and countryside routes leading to hidden bays with small pebble beaches. The neighbouring Elafiti Islands of Lopud and Koločep are easily reached by local ferry or private boat from Sudurad harbour, just 750 metres away, as is Dubrovnik itself. It takes around an hour to arrive at Dubrovnik’s Gruz Harbour, where you can explore the UNESCO listed Old Town, wandering through a maze of historic alleys on your way to the City Walls, Rector’s Palace and the cable car, which will whisk you to see breathtaking vistas of the city and coastline from Mount Srd. Dubrovnik Airport is 25 miles away.
The hotel is housed in a low-rise, stone building that reflects the traditional architecture of the Croatian coast. Just 28 rooms, suites and apartments are set across three floors and arranged to make the most of the waterfront position. Rooms are bright and simply styled, decorated in a neutral palette using soft whites, creams and subtle blue accents, paired with natural wood furnishings. Standard amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar and a safe. The en-suite bathroom features either a bath or shower, slippers, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. Many rooms have private balconies or terraces showcasing uninterrupted views of the Adriatic Sea.

Dining information
Positioned on a terrace overlooking the harbour and surrounding islands is Restaurant Bozica, serving a varied menu centred around Mediterranean dishes and traditional Croatian cuisine, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Much of the produce comes from the hotel’s own gardens, while seafood is a highlight, supplied by local fishermen. Expect regional dishes such as brudet or popara (traditional seafood stew) and peka (slow-cooked meat) paired with a glass of local Croatian wine. Tables are set both indoors and outdoors, making it the ideal spot for a leisurely lunch.
The bar is equally inviting, offering the perfect place for a coffee or to unwind with a chilled drink while admiring the spectacular views over the Adriatic Sea and its islands.
