Terms and Conditions
- This promotion is open to eligible participants (‘Eligible Participants’, or in the singular, an ‘Eligible Participant’). An Eligible Participant is a person aged 18 years or over or such other age as it is required to legally contract with you in your country of residence. An Eligible Participant is not an employee of British Airways Plc (‘BA’) or its affiliates or of an IAG group company, or a member of their family. British Airways reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants.
- The promotional experience (the “Promotion”) is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
- The Promotion described herein will take place between September 2023 and October 2023. The opening date for entries is at various times across the Promotion.
- To participate in the promotional operation described herein, the Eligible Participant must proceed as follows:
- Winners will be chosen by random draw and supervised by an independent person on various dates across the Promotion.
- The prizes available in this Promotion are:
- Any British Airways flights are subject to availability and the British Airways’ conditions of carriage.
- The use of any Avios requires a British Airways Executive Club membership, in the event an Eligible Participant is not a member, they may join upon winning a Prize.
- Where available, all Prize flights will be issued as e-tickets. All transportation taxes, fees and charges are included. Tickets cannot be upgraded, transferred, sold or exchanged.
- Any travel companion must be aged 18 or over. These Terms and Conditions apply to both the winner and the companion. Both tickets must be redeemed at the same time and cannot be split. Tickets must be used on the same journey, on the same day and the same flights. The winner and his/her travelling companion are responsible for supplying valid passports and visas.
- British Airways reserves the right to provide substitute rewards of a similar value, should any specified Prize become unavailable for any reasons beyond its control.
- Any other incidental expenses relating to the Prizes are not included in the above Prizes and must be paid for by the winner. For the avoidance of doubt, British Airways will have no liability in relation to travel costs associated with travelling to or from the airports. In addition, the winner is responsible for any income or use tax assessed in connection with the Prize.
- For the avoidance of doubt, British Airways will have no liability in the loss or damage of the Prize(s) once dispatched.
- All rewards are non-changeable and non-transferable. No cash or credit alternatives are offered for any Prize.
- The decision of British Airways regarding any aspect of the Prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- British Airways collects and processes the personal data provided by Eligible Participants for the purposes of the Promotion, in particular its administration, the acknowledgement of the Participant's participation and for the management of the sending of Prizes. This information will be kept for a limited period, to the extent it is necessary to achieve the purpose of the processing. Eligible Participants are entitled to several rights in relation to their data, in particular the right to access, rectify or delete it, as well as the right to object to receiving commercial offers, by contacting British Airways at DPO@ba.com. For further information, Eligible Participants may refer to the Privacy Policy available on British Airways' Website. Information collected from Eligible Participants and where applicable, their guests, shall be subject to British Airways’ Privacy Policy.
- Where imposing such condition is legal, participation in the Promotion constitutes the winner’s (and companion’s, if applicable) consent to British Airways’ and its agents’ use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state, for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration and you confirm that, if applicable, you will obtain from any guest whom you invite, permission for the promoters to use their name and likeness, for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensation.
- British Airways’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. British Airways reserves the right to cancel or amend without notice the Terms of this Promotion and any Prizes issued in the event of major catastrophe, war, strike, earthquake or any actual or anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other circumstance beyond the British Airways' control.
- British Airways reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or terminate any Prize won by any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, British Airways reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- British Airways’ failure to enforce any Term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Except as otherwise expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions, British Airways and its affiliates shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of their respective obligations that are caused by events outside of their reasonable control. British Airways’ total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Promotion shall be limited to the value of the rewards won by the Eligible Participant. British Airways and its affiliates shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or otherwise for any special, indirect or consequential losses incurred by an Eligible Participant or their guest in any way. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate to exclude or limit British Airways’ or its affiliates’ liability for death or personal injury resulting from British Airways or its affiliates’ negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which may not be excluded or limited by law.
- These Terms and Conditions apply to every Eligible Participant entering the Promotion with no exceptions.
- If any of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall remain valid and enforceable.
- Promotional materials form part of the Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions will prevail in the event of any conflict between these and the promotional materials.
- This Promotion is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
- If you are a consumer and your residence is in a European Union country, you also have the right to claim for the application of the mandatory provisions of the law applicable in your country of residence and of the possibility to bring legal proceedings in that country.
- The promoter is British Airways Plc Waterside, PO Box 365, Harmondsworth UB7 0GB (Registered No: 01777777).
4.1. Register with one of British Airways’ brand ambassadors in the queue, who will provide the Eligible Participant with a unique QR code;
4.2. Scan the QR code, which action will launch the experience;
4.3. Eligible Participant can then get in position;
4.4. After a three-second countdown, the Eligible Participant will get three chances to complete a line out by throwing a rugby ball through a target;
4.5. If the Eligible Participant completes the lineout challenge, a digital prize wheel is activated giving the Eligible Participant a chance to win a series of rewards, as described hereinafter.
6.1. A pair of British Airways economy (World Traveller) tickets (excluding to Australia)
6.2. A pair of economy (Euro Traveller) tickets
6.3. 50,000 Avios prizes per match:
6.4. 20,000 Avios
6.5. 10,000 Avios
6.6. 1000 Avios x 20 prizes
6.7. 1x Signed England Rugby Shirt
6.8. 1x signed England Rugby Ball
Each a (“Prize”). By taking part in this Promotion, Eligible Participants confirm that they unconditionally accept the Terms and Conditions set out below (‘Terms and Conditions’) and British Airways reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions; and
in the event that:
i. the winner does not claim the reward; or
ii. a Prize is declined by the winner,
a supplementary winner may be selected from the remaining Eligible Participants.
