This page outlines the introduction of Avios part payment and changes to Reward Flight Saver on British Airways (operated by Comair) flights, within southern Africa.
We’re delighted to let you know that from 14 November 2018, when you book at ba.com, you’ll have a new way to save on flights with Avios part payment. Take a look at all the advantages:
In a nutshell, Avios part payment gives you more ways to save, more ways to use your Avios and more flexibility.
When you select flights at ba.com, you’ll see Avios part payment options on the price page. Select one of the discount options and complete your booking. It’s as simple as that.

Reward Flight Saver allows you to pay the Avios and a flat fee in cash while the taxes, fees and carrier charges are paid for you.
You will be able to continue to use your Avios on Reward Flight Savers, however from 14 November 2018 the flat fee in cash is changing as outlined below. Any bookings made before the 14 November 2018 will not be affected by these changes.
