Head to the west coast of the island to the beautiful and secluded Port Glaud Waterfall. You’ll find locals offering guides, take them up on their offer – it can be tricky to get there without knowing the route. These friendly guides are a great source of information about the area, sights and traditions.
Take a trip into the Morne Seychellois National Park, it’s a beautiful drive but also has plenty of hiking trails. Climb your way up through old tea plantations to the top of the highest mountain, Morne Seychellois – you may even spot the critically endangered jellyfish tree enroute, only found on Mahé.
