Zante Beach Resort is set along the golden sands of Laganas Bay, which is a popular nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles. You can swim in the calm waters of the Ionian Sea and stroll along the beachfront towards the lively centre of Laganas, which is known for its bars and nightclubs. The resort area of Kalamaki lies in the opposite direction, home to numerous family-friendly restaurants, while Zante Town is around six miles away, offering boutique shops and a waterfront square with vibrant bars and restaurants. From here, you can head to the hilltop ruins of the Venetian Castle of Zakynthos and witness spectacular views over the island’s capital. Zakynthos Airport is less than five miles from the hotel.
The 268 rooms are light and airy, decorated in traditional blue and white tones. Doors open onto a private balcony or terrace with sea or inland views. Family Rooms, which are slightly larger than standard Double Rooms, feature a double bed and bunk bed. However, larger groups and families will find more space and privacy in Superior Bungalows, which feature separate bedroom and living areas, divided by a fixed partition.

The hotel’s main swimming pool is situated next to the beach, overlooking the Ionian Sea and surrounding Mediterranean gardens. The vast pool terrace is dotted with sun loungers and white parasols, while the laidback pool bar serves snacks and drinks throughout the day. You can also relax on the beach, although you’ll have to pay an additional charge to use sun beds and umbrellas here.
During the day, you can play beach volleyball or tennis – and work out at the on-site gym. The animation team also lead daily activities, like table tennis, mini golf, aerobics classes and more. Meanwhile, children have their own swimming pool, conveniently located next to the main pool, and an exciting pirate-themed playground with climbing frames, carousels and slides. Children ages 4 to 12 can also hang out at the supervised kids’ club, enjoying activities such as face painting, sandcastle building and dancing.
Dining information
Zante Beach Resort boasts three restaurants and two bars. Dionysos is the main buffet-style restaurant, where you can dine indoors or al fresco on the terrace. Treat yourself to a range of dishes from the live cooking stations and enjoy themed buffet dinners on select nights throughout the week. A special kids’ buffet corner is also available, and lunchboxes can be prepared on request.
At Meze, you can savour traditional Greek meze dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. There’s also the Poseidon restaurant, which serves light lunches, snacks and drinks beside the beach. If you’re sunbathing by the pool, head to the laidback Ionian Pool bar for drinks and snacks. Meanwhile, the Vachus Cocktail Bar is the ideal spot for aperitifs.
