Chateau la Chaire Hotel - Jersey

Château la Chaire is a characterful, boutique hotel offering warm personal service. The historic country château, originally built in 1843, provides a relaxing base from which to explore the island of Jersey.

Surrounded by eight acres of woodland, the peaceful haven sits in a valley on the north-east of the island, minutes away from the traditional fishing harbour of Rozel Bay. Nature lovers can hire a bike or borrow wellies to take woodland walks. For a taste of civilisation, drive four miles to St Helier – or catch the bus from the convenient stop at the end of the lane.

Château la Chaire houses only 12 rooms and one suite. Dark wooden furniture adorns most of the elegant cream-coloured rooms, but the style in each varies. Guest rooms are outfitted with a mini bar, mini refrigerator and television. Take advantage of the in-room ironing amenities – for when you want to dress your best for an island outing. If you prefer to hang out in your room, you will be comfortable in the provided robe and slippers. For your comfort, you will find White Company ‘Noir’ toiletries, a hairdryer and complimentary mineral water. Rooms also include free Wi-Fi.

When you make your way back to the hotel, enjoy a hearty dinner from the fine dining La Chaire restaurant or hang out and play board games in the cosy guest lounge. If you prefer to take a lazy day, you will be perfectly comfortable reading in the lounge’s armchairs as light streams in from the large windows; or simply daydream as you admire the elegant chandeliers and intricate ceiling mouldings.
