The Lord of the Rings actor flew in for the iconic photocall to mark the Dreamliner's launch on the route - and also took part in an exclusive Q&A with the airline, speaking about his career, love of travel and fascination with Japan.

Addressing VIPs and invited guests at the official British Airways launch event, he told of his love of visiting Japan - and even showed off his Japanese language skills.
He said: "I have travelled to Japan on a number of occasions now and have experienced Japan's amazing service and hospitality, or as you call it, OMO-TE-NASHI."
Orlando also took part in an exclusive Q&A session where he said "British Airways is my home away from home while travelling, I love the afternoon tea on board."

The 787-9 flight into Narita now runs seven days a week between London Heathrow and Narita, Tokyo.
Orlando was joined on stage by Jonty Brunner, British Airways' Regional Commercial Manager for Japan and Korea.
He said the launch of the 787-9 on the route between London Heathrow and Narita, was a huge step for the airline. And he hailed the arrival of the new First cabin, which has been rolled out on the route.
British Airways flies to its global hub, London Heathrow, 14 times a week where customers can experience British Airways' state-of-the-art Terminal 5, which is exclusive to British Airways and Iberia customers and is capable of handling 30 million customers a year.
