Each of the 45 rooms is different, designed by fashion designers, architects and product designers to express the history of the house and the neighbourhood, and pick up visual cues from surrounding buildings. Bold, racy designs reflect the once-illicit red-light reputation of the neighbourhood, which is now home to art galleries and excellent restaurants and boutiques. There’s no dedicated restaurant, but a free buffet breakfast is available in the hotel’s various salons – guests can choose depending on their preference for sofas or tables.
