A luxury escape in the middle of New York City, The Times Square EDITION provides modern glamour, designed by co-founder of Studio 54, Ian Schrager. It’s also home to a stunning indoor-outdoor restaurant, a gym with far-reaching views and the theatrical nightlife hotspot, Paradise Club.
Tucked away in an inconspicuous VIP-style entrance, the hotel’s lifts take you up and away from the bustle of the city to the 10th floor lobby, where the hotel’s signature fragrance greets you – created by Le Labo. Though you will feel pleasantly shielded from the outside, Times Square is quite literally steps away from the hotel entrance. Central Park, the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building are all under a mile away and John F Kennedy International Airport is approximately 17 miles away.
As you enter the 10th floor, foliage-covered walls add to the feeling of indulgence, along with dark herringbone flooring, a floating black desk and white panelled walls. An all-black seating area offers a fireplace, armchairs and a statement gold coffee table. Ultra-chic, contemporary decor adorns guest rooms which feature calming pale walls and floors. A faux fur throw tops each bed – its casual placement a deliberate detail evoking a childhood memory of Schrager – and rooms also enjoy luxurious Le Labo toiletries with the hotel’s signature fragrance.

Serving breakfast and dinner daily, and brunch and lunch on the weekends, The Terrace Restaurant and Outdoor Gardens feature seasonal menus with a contemporary spin on brasserie classics. This restaurant is split into three distinct sections, each offering a different feel. Inside, the restaurant features ochre velvet sofas alternated with ceiling-high palms. On the terrace, an orangery style area transports you to a magical garden oasis, where lush ferns and lanterns hang from the ceiling. This leads to the outdoor terrace – the perfect place to sip cocktails. In the evenings, the Paradise Club brings theatre and dining together. Set against a red velvet and muralled backdrop, the club delivers a tempting feast before unique live performances. The Lobby Bar is also open in the evenings, serving light meals and plenty of cocktails in an ultra-elegant white minimalist setting.
