There’s an abundance of facilities to access on land and sea around the hotel, so it’ll be hard to know where to start. You have the option of six heated swimming pools, including three tiered outdoor family pools, an adult-only pool, a kids’ pool and an indoor heated pool (heated seasonally) at the Wellness Centre. For those preferring the beach, there’s a complimentary shuttle to the nearby Alvor Beach.

The Wellness Centre is stunning and features everything you would need for both mind and body. You can indulge in an exclusive selection of spa treatments in one of the four treatment rooms, plus you have access to an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath. The state-of-the-art fitness area offers cardio equipment and weights, personalised fitness programmes and private training sessions, or you can make use of the impressive multifunctional field for tennis, basketball and five-a-side football.

Kids are very welcome at the resort and are well catered for. The Pluma Junior Club features a dedicated indoor space with a kids’ meal area, outdoor cinema (two or three nights each week), children’s pool with slides, playground, mini golf and baby room to assist with little ones’ needs. Babysitting services are also available (at a charge, on request).

Wi-Fi is free across the resort and car parking facilities are available.

Dining information

Essenze is the hotel’s main buffet restaurant and the hub of hotel. It’s family-friendly and offers both seating indoors on olive green wooden chairs, and outside in the sun. A breakfast feast of freshly baked pastries, tropical fruits and juices, continental selections and hot dishes is provided, while dinner sees global cuisines presented with flair – from classics to new and exciting options. You can also enjoy fresh sushi served here from July until August. Shore! bar serves drinks all day, otherwise stop by in the evening when artists and musicians take to the stage. Alternatively, head to the family-friendly Salty bar for ice-cold refreshments and classic comfort foods for kids and an extensive selection of Portuguese wines and bites for the adults. Dinner options include the a la carte Roastic Steak House, where chefs cook premium cuts of meat, just the way you like. A variety of sides and sauces are served to complement each dish (reservation required). Beside this, Mad Med (open seasonally) is the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant, serving buffet starters and desserts plus a la carte main dishes, as well as an array of dishes created using organic ingredients, seasonal harvests and locally caught seafood. For Italian, Carosello offers an exciting and daily changing, seasonal a la carte menu of antipasti, cheeses and cold cuts, as well as tempting a la carte mains (reservation required). The hotel also features food trucks to visit at your leisure. You'll also find a daily dedicated BBQ outlet serving up your grilled favourites - this spot will be open seasonally.
