Conrad Algarve is set in extensive manicured gardens and features four tempting swimming pools throughout the property. The main infinity pool offers a tranquil sun terrace and push-button waiter service. The second pool, situated on a lower level, is located behind lush, landscaped gardens near a separate children’s pool and surrounding cabanas. Finally, the covered heated pool features a beautiful mosaic floor in a room that opens on three sides, creating an airy, outdoor feel.

You might also be tempted to embrace the other facilities at Conrad Spa. These include a sauna, aromatic steam room, ice fountain, experience showers and the VIP couples’ spa suite. The spa’s collection of cutting-edge treatments is tailored into personalised treatment programmes, delivered by intuitive therapists and expert hands, using products from 111Skin and Amra Skincare. Revitalise with a selection of signature treatments, ranging from oxygen infusion to aromatherapy massages and facials.

If you’re feeling energised, train at the on-site fitness centre, participate in a fitness class or play tennis on a floodlit court. You can also speak to the golf concierge if you fancy teeing off at one of the surrounding courses.

The hotel also offers excursions for a supplement (all payable locally). You can take a boat trip from Vilamoura, visit the historic village of Sagres, race at the Portimao Racing Track, discover the Ria Formosa Natural Park, experience Cataplana, explore the region’s vineyards or watch the sea life in the Zoomarine. For children, there’s a playground and the ‘Little C Palace’ kids’ club which offers a range of fun, supervised activities for children who are aged 3 to 12 years old. The club provides daily “top-secret” assignments to keep little ones engaged and age-appropriate activities such as face painting, story readings, mini-golf, yoga and fancy dress.

Conrad Algarve has been recognised for adopting greener practices which range from effective towel and linen reuse programmes, to using water heated thermal systems, solar panels and setting up recycling stations. Dining information

An array of fine bars and restaurants await you at Conrad Algarve. Louro Restaurant is for all-day dining, serving modern Portuguese cuisine with authentic local and seasonal produce. Gusto by Heinz Beck (a three Michelin-star chef) is the hotel’s Michelin star restaurant, specialising in contemporary Mediterranean dining. Its Scandinavian interiors pay homage to Conrad Hilton’s father, Augustus. Sample creative cocktails, and don’t miss the Portuguese wine-pair tasting menu.

DADO Pool Restaurant & Bar offers a more casual atmosphere beside the pool and specialises in South American cuisine. Indulge in an individual barbeque and order from an extensive menu of cocktails, fresh fruit juices and chilled drinks, which are served in personal cabanas. SERENO Infinity Pool Deck provides the perfect place for a tropical rendezvous, an evening party or just a quiet spot to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Order seasonal fresh fruit, artisan ice creams and indulgent treats while the afternoon slips away. Alternatively, head to the chic LAGO Lounge for light bites and premium drinks. Order speciality coffees, traditional sweet snacks, afternoon tea or lunchtime favourites such as salads and burgers.

The half board 'Culinary Experience' meals can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. There will be a menu of three to five choices from each category; starter, main and dessert. Not applicable for room service. No half board is served on 24 December and 31 December, when a special gala dinner will be served, payable locally. Restaurant opening and closing times are subject to change without notice. 

Additional information

The dress code is smart casual in all drinking and dining venues at the hotel. Swimwear must be covered in all restaurants, at all times.
