Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club is an impressive, adult-only resort, nestled in the lush jungle, in the heart of historic Tulum. It’s undeniably luxurious and features beautifully appointed suites and villas – many of which offer a swim-out pool, a stunning spa, a fitness centre and a great selection of complimentary land and sea activities. In addition, the hotel features a superb range of dining options which are all included in the rich Unlimited-Luxury all-inclusive plan.
The hotel itself architecturally spectacular, formed of a series of glass structures, two of which are interconnected. The centre of each structure opens onto an oasis of sculptured gardens with lush tropical vegetation and a series of sensational, secluded pools – reminiscent of a cenote. Well-beaten tourist trails include the ancient ruins of Tulum and Gran Cenote, both within a four-mile radius. The ancient city of Chichen Itza, notable for its impeccably preserved Temple of Kukulkan, is around 94 miles from the resort, but very worthy of a visit. Cancun International Airport is approximately 74 miles from the hotel.
The property features a relatively low number of suites and villas, but each is generously sized. A liberal use of stone, wood and marble adorn each room using warm, earthy tones creating a sophisticated boho vibe. Standard facilities include a sumptuous king-size bed (or two queen-size beds), a private furnished balcony or terrace, flat-screen cable TV and a minibar which is refreshed daily with soft drinks, bottled water and beer. Opt for a Preferred Club suite to experience an extra level of luxury. Preferred Club benefits include personalised check-in and check-out, private club lounge access serving daily continental breakfast and afternoon hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, exclusive concierge service, swimming pool and complimentary access to the hydrotherapy circuit (once per stay). If you’d like to stay by the beach, opt for a Casa Zamna Suite which is located separate from the resort at the beach club. They offer easy access to Tulum, although to reach the hotel’s restaurants and bars –approximately five miles away – you’ll need to use the hotel's shuttle.
