We'll secure your holiday with a low deposit. You can pay the balance in as many instalments as you want – you can decide when you make the payments and how much they are. The only requirement is that you must have paid the full balance by the balance due date.

Securing your booking with a low deposit
Low online deposits can only be paid for bookings created as flight + hotel or flight + car packages or any two products booked via Customise Your Trip, this can exclude a flight. All flight only, hotel, car and experience only bookings, and any hotel, car or experiences added to a flight only booking are excluded from this offer.
Yes. Paying a deposit fully confirms your booking.
- Flight + hotel and flight + car holidays between £300-£999: Just pay £120 deposit per booking
- Flight + hotel and flight + car holidays between £1,000-£2,999: Just pay from £170 deposit per booking
- Flight + hotel and flight + car holidays between £3,000-£3,499: Just pay from £220 deposit per booking
- Flight + hotel and flight + car holidays over £3,500: Your deposit amount will be displayed during the booking process
Yes. On the payment page you will have the option to pay the minimum amount, more than the minimum amount or the full amount.
The actual date your balance is due will be displayed on the payment details page when booking.
You will be sent a balance due reminder via email.
The full balance will be required four weeks before departure for short haul bookings* and seven weeks before departure for all other holiday bookings. *Selected European ski destination require the full balance five weeks before departure. Please see Manage my Booking for the exact date applicable to your booking. Amendment and cancellation information can be found here.
No. You can pay the balance in as many instalments as you want. This allows you to spread the cost of the holiday over a longer period. You will have full flexibility of when you make the payments and how much they are.
The only requirement is that you must have paid the full balance by the balance due date.
Your email confirmation will include details of how to do this after you have completed your booking.
In most cases, the deposit amount is not refundable in the event that you decide to cancel your booking. However, some exceptions apply if you have chosen a fully flexible air fare as part of your package.

Standard Deposit terms and conditions
1. Only bookings created as Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car, collectively referred to as a “holiday package” or any two products booked via our ‘Customise Your Trip’ tool - this can exclude a flight – are eligible to be confirmed using a deposit payment.
2. Flight only, hotel only, car only and experience only bookings, and any hotel, car or experiences added to a flight only booking are excluded from this offer.
3. Eligible bookings are subject to a minimum booking value and the minimum deposit payment varies based on the value of your booking as follows:
- a. Booking value is between £300-£999: pay a minimum £120 deposit per booking
- b. Booking value is between £1,000-£2,999: pay a minimum £170 deposit per booking
- c. Booking value is between £3,000-£3,999: pay a minimum £220 deposit per booking
- d. Booking value is between £4,000-£5,499: pay a minimum £300 deposit per booking
- e. Booking value is between £5,500-£6,499: pay a minimum £350 deposit per booking
- f. Booking value is between £6,500-£7,499: pay a minimum £400 deposit per booking
- g. Booking value is between £7,500-£7,999: pay a minimum £450 deposit per booking
- h. Booking value is between £8,000-£8,499: pay a minimum £500 deposit per booking
- i. Booking value is between £8,500-£8,999: pay a minimum £550 deposit per booking
- j. Booking value is between £9,000-£9,499: pay a minimum £700 deposit per booking
- k. Booking value is between £9,500-£9,999: pay a minimum £900 deposit per booking
- l. Booking value is between £10,000-£12,499: pay a minimum £1300 deposit per booking
- m. Booking value is between £12,500-£14,999: pay a minimum £2000 deposit per booking
- n. Booking value is between £15,000-£19,999: pay a minimum £2500 deposit per booking
- o. Booking value is between £20,000-£29,999: pay a minimum £3500 deposit per booking
4. You must pay the minimum amount at time of booking. The balance can be subsequently paid in as many instalments as required.

- Return fares displayed are the lowest adult return prices in the cabin specified including taxes, fees and carrier charges, based on a 7-day return journey.
- Each–way fares displayed are the lowest adult each-way prices in the cabin specified based on the lowest adult return prices for a 7 day travel period, including all taxes, fees and carrier charges available in this period.
- One-way fares displayed are the lowest adult prices in the cabin specified including taxes, fees and carrier charges available in this period.
- Package holiday prices (flight + hotel and flight + car) shown are per person based on 2 adults sharing one room or one car and prices include taxes, fees and carrier charges unless otherwise specified. Flight + car prices based on drivers aged 30-70 years.
- Additional charges will be applied for payments made using a corporate credit card.
- Advertised fares are available on ba.com. Additional charges may apply if purchased through British Airways outlets or travel agents.
- Combine and save on Holidays: Guaranteed savings are only available when booking a Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car booking including one land product, it does not apply to a ‘Customise your trip’ holiday including more than one hotel and / or car.
