An island of two halves
Fly to Ibiza with British Airways and you’re just 10 minutes from Ibiza Town, the island’s capital.
The first thing that will strike you is how pretty it is – whitewashed buildings, a historic citadel and cobbled streets. Some of Ibiza’s biggest clubs are based here, which makes it a hub for partygoers.
If you’re after somewhere a little less up tempo, Santa Eulaila is within distance of the old town for a day trip but offers a quiet base perfect for families. Enjoy dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants, pick up trinkets at the marketplace and cool off from the heat of the sun at the sandy beach.
In the evenings, don’t miss Ibiza’s famous sunsets, best seen with a sundowner at one of the west coast’s beach clubs or on a catamaran out on the waves. Book your holiday to Ibiza today.

Ibiza Flights FAQs
The flight from London to Ibiza is 2 hours and 25 minutes. British Airways provides several direct flights from London to Ibiza, so you can fly from London Heathrow (LHR) or London City (LCY) to arrive in Ibiza (IBZ).
You can use our low fare finder to discover the cheapest time to visit Ibiza, but it’s generally during the winter. The mercury rises on the island in the spring and stays high until the autumn months, so this is when the beaches and restaurants are at their busiest. If you do decide to visit in the winter, you’ll benefit from quieter resorts, and temperatures in the mid-teens.
We fly to Ibiza from all three London airports; London City, London Gatwick and London Heathrow. The number of flights departing each week and flight times vary by airport.
The best time to visit Ibiza depends on what kind of holiday you’re after. For long days of glorious sunshine, choose the height of the summer – you can soak up the rays in June, July and August. This is also when many of the island’s clubs welcome DJs and artists from around the world for summer residencies. If you’d prefer to explore the old town or the wild backcountry, opt for a break during spring and autumn when the weather is cooler and there are fewer tourists.
Thanks to its reputation as a party destination, trips to Ibiza can come with a hefty price tag. If you want to visit the super clubs, sail along the coast on a yacht or pick up one-of-a-kind fashion pieces at the boutiques, you’ll need a big budget. But, if you choose to stay on the quieter side of the island away from the flashy resorts, you’ll spend much less.
Apartments with kitchens give you the opportunity to save on meals out by cooking at home instead, as well as having somewhere to pack picnics for beach days.
Use public transport to get around and you’ll save money on expensive taxis. Plus, if you can travel outside of the peak summer months, prices are usually not as expensive.
Ibiza’s airport is just five miles from Ibiza Town and is connected to it by a regular bus service, which costs around €3.50 per journey. Buses connect the island’s major towns like San Antonio and Santa Eulalia. Ibiza’s small size means that taxis are relatively affordable. Expect to pay €15-30 for most journeys – but be warned, queues during the summer months can be quite long. The best way to get around Ibiza is by car, giving you flexibility to explore the island and head to more remote areas.
Book car hire with British Airways, and receive great benefits – with all mandatory charges included and 24-hour customer support. You will collect Avios on every rental.
