Italy’s glittering coastal city
Fly to Rimini with British Airways and head to Piazza Cavour, the city’s historic centre.
Take a stroll along the canal and across the five stone arches of the 2000-year-old Tiberius Bridge. You’ll arrive in brightly coloured Borgo San Giuliano, the ancient fishermen’s quarter. It’s an ideal spot to sip espresso and enjoy some local piadina flatbread before setting off on a hike to the hilltop town of Santarcangelo di Romagna.
If your Italian is up to scratch, catch a film at Cinema Fulgor, the ornate picturehouse that inspired Fellini himself. Or take in a classical music performance at the grand Galli Theatre. Book your holiday to Rimini now.

Rimini flight FAQs
A flight from London to Rimini takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The best time to find cheap flights to Italy is outside of the peak summer season that runs between June and August. Travel to Rimini in May or September and you’ll still be able to enjoy temperatures pushing 20 degrees, making it an ideal time for sightseeing and sunset strolls.
Rimini is a fantastic destination for those travelling on a budget. The cheapest accommodation is usually located around the seafront and close to the main strip, but there are good deals to be found in the city centre too.
At the other end of the scale, four and five-star hotels are also reasonably priced compared to some of Italy’s most popular tourist destinations. All the beaches along the coast are free to access, although you’ll need to pay a daily or weekly fee to rent a sunbed or an umbrella.
You can easily walk around the centre of Rimini and see all the main sites on foot, but the city is also well served by public transport. A free shuttle service taking visitors between the city and the seafront operates from more than 260 stops. It runs every day during the summer, but you’ll need to book in advance using the Shuttle Mare app.
You can also hire a car with British Airways if you want to see more of what Salerno has to offer. You’ll receive great benefits, with all mandatory charges included and 24-hour customer support, plus you’ll collect Avios points on every rental.
Rimini is the biggest beach resort on the Adriatic Sea and has long been a favourite holiday destination for native Italians. The big sandy beaches and calm waters make it perfect for families, but the city is also known for its buzzing nightlife, with many bars, restaurants and nightclubs along the seafront.
For those who want to go beyond the beach, Rimini is also an excellent base for exploring more of northern Italy. You can reach Bologna by car in around 90 minutes, while Florence is less than three hours away. San Marino, the world’s fifth small country, is just 20km inland. Snap a scenic selfie from the top of the 13th-century Torre Cesta, with epic views stretching all the way back to Rimini.
For motorsport fans, The San Marino and Rimini Riviera motorcycle Grand Prix takes place at the nearby Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in September each year.
