How to collect Avios

1. Join British Airways Executive Club and Club Avolta

Make sure you’re signed up to Club Avolta (formerly Red by Dufry) – World Duty Free’s loyalty programme – and the British Airways Executive Club. You’ll need an account for each to link your accounts (they’re both free).

Download the Club Avolta app from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Link

Link the Club Avolta programme to your Executive Club account.

  • Open your Club Avolta app, tap ‘Account’ and select ‘Manage Partners'
  • Select ‘British Airways Executive Club’
  • Enter your Executive Club details
  • Select ‘Make this my preferred partner’ – and you’re done

3. Collect Avios

Show the QR code on your Club Avolta app when you shop in any World Duty Free store at Heathrow and at Spanish airports too.

How to redeem your Avios

1. Link your accounts

If you haven't already linked your Executive Club account and your Club Avolta account, you'll need to link them as explained in the steps for collecting Avios.

2. Add your voucher

In your Club Avolta app, open your account, select 'British Airways Executive Club' then select 'Add voucher'.

3. Choose where to spend it

Select the country you want to use it in, and the value you want to spend. The voucher will appear in your Club Avolta account within two minutes.

You can exchange up to five vouchers a month, to a maximum of £250 or €250 per month.

This program works by:

  1. Collecting Avios
  2. Converting them into Club Avolta vouchers 
  3. Redeeming them at participating stores to use for purchases

To collect Avios you must have a British Airways Executive Club or Iberia Plus account. If you don't have either, it's easy to join for free. 

You'll collect 1 Avios per £1/€1 spent at stores in Spain or London Heathrow when you scan your Club Avolta membership card.

To collect Avios with Club Avolta, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a British Airways Executive Club or Iberia Plus account. You'll also have to link either your Executive Club or Iberia Plus account to your Club Avolta Membership Account and select it as your preferred partner within the Club Avolta mobile app.

To Redeem Avios, your Executive Club or Iberia Plus account must be linked with your Club Avolta account within the Club Avolta mobile app. Select “Wallet”, and “Add voucher” option to convert your Avios to a Club Avolta Voucher.

You can collect Avios and redeem your Club Avolta voucher on many products (some exclusions apply, see Terms & Conditions) at participating stores in London Heathrow, Barcelona, Madrid and more airports in Spain.

Certain products or product categories, such as tobacco, may be excluded and you won’t be able to collect Avios or redeem your voucher for such products.

When buying eligible goods at a participating store, you need to show your Club Avolta Membership card and have your Club Avolta QR code scanned.

Alternatively, Iberia Plus members can show their digital membership card when making purchases at participating stores to collect Avios in Spain. Please note this feature is not currently available for Executive Club Members.

Customers will collect 1 Avios per £1 /€1 spent when buying eligible goods at participating stores. A maximum of 3,000 Avios can be collected per transaction and a maximum number of two eligible transactions per day and 30 per month applies.

Only one voucher can be redeemed for a given transaction. For further details, see the Terms and Conditions.

You can exchange your Avios for a maximum of five vouchers to a maximum value of £250 per month.

Your Avios will be awarded within 72 hours of completing your qualifying purchase. Retrospective claims are not possible.

If you don't meet any of the requirements listed above, you won't collect Avios when making a purchase.

Your Club Avolta Voucher will be issued within two minutes once the Avios redemption process is complete.

Terms and Conditions
  1. To be eligible for this offer, customers must be at least 18 years old and be either a member of British Airways Executive Club (“BAEC”) and Club Avolta  . (“Eligible Customers” or in the singular, an "Eligible Customer”). 
  2. Eligible Customer will have the opportunity to covert Avios points into a Club Avolta (“Voucher”) to buy select products at any of the participating Avolta Stores. 
  3. To collect Avios an Eligible Customer must go to their Club Avolta app and link their BAEC account to their Club Avolta account and select such linked account as their preferred account if customer wish to earn Avios for their purchases at Avolta participating stores. A BAEC account can only be linked to one Club Avolta account and the holder of the linked accounts must be the same person.
  4. Only one Club Avolta account can be linked to one BAEC account at any given time and vice versa. A BAEC account  can be linked and unlinked to any Club Avolta account a maximum of 1 time in 12 month. 
  5. After the first time that an Eligible Customer links their BAEC Account to their Club Avolta account and complete a qualifying transaction at participating store, a onetime bonus of 250 Avios will be credited to your BAEC account. 
  6. After linking their BAEC account an Eligible Customer can convert their Avois Points earned in their BAEC account into Voucher by logging into their Club Avolta app, go to respective linked partner page, click on ‘Add voucher’. and then following the steps  thereafter.  
  7. An Eligible Customer will need to select the country in which they wish to use the Voucher. The currency that the Voucher is available in are determined by the country selected by the Club Avolta member. A Voucher can only be used at participating Avolta stores in the country for which such voucher was issued. Each country will have its own country specific terms and conditions, including the participating Avolta stores in such country.  
  8. Vouchers are only available in 4 currency denominations.  Each currency denomination will require the conversion of a certain number of Avios, the number of Avios required to be converted for a certain currency denomination is as displayed in the Club Avolta app.  
  9. A Voucher will be immediately credited to the Eligible Customers’ Club Avolta account when Avios are converted  in the Club Avolta app.  
  10. Upon conversion, Vouchers  can only be awarded to the Club Avolta account that the BAEC account has been linked to. Once Avios have been converted to a Voucher, the conversion cannot be reversed.  
  11. An Eligible Customer can convert a maximum of 5 Club Avolta vouchers to a maximum value of £250 in a 30-day period. 
  12. Eligible Customers can only redeem Vouchers in-store, when checking out at a physical point of sale. Vouchers cannot be redeemed while reserving a product online via World Duty Free Reserve and Collect service or when Eligible Participants use the self-checkout service. Eligible Participants shall present the Club Avolta voucher to a World Duty Free sales assistant at the time of check out to benefit from the offer.
  13. Eligible Customers can use a maximum of one Club Avolta vouchers per transaction. The Club Avolta voucher will apply on the final price, including any applicable taxes.
  14. Club Avolta vouchers shall be used for the full value. Partial redemption is not admitted. Remaining balance on any used vouchers will not be refunded or credited.
  15. Once a Voucher has been redeemed at participating Avolta store, such Voucher is not reusable. 
  16. Avios are not redeemable for cash.  
  17. Except as required by law, Vouchers are not redeemable for cash, and cannot be sold, transferred for value, reloaded, or applied to any other Club Avolta account. The value of the Club Avolta will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.
  18. In case an Eligible Customer returns a product purchased with a Voucher, the Eligible Customer will get the Voucher amount refunded in the Club Avolta app in the Wallet tap as a new Voucher. The new Voucher validity time will match the one of the original Voucher.
  19. Except as required by law, each Voucher will be valid for 24 months from the date of issuance, after which it will automatically expire and removed from the Club Avolta wallet.
  20. Once Avios are converted into a Club Avolta voucher, they will be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s Club Avolta account, with both BAEC and Club Avolta terms and conditions applying. 
  21. Avios are issued by and converted with Avios Group Limited (AGL) in accordance with Avios terms and conditions. For full details please visit www.britishairways.com/avios. 
  22. British Airways PLC reserves the right to remove any Avios and close any BAEC account that British Airways PLC, Avios Group Limited (AGL) or Avolta believes has obtained or redeemed Avios or Voucher in breach of these Terms and Conditions or in breach of the BAEC Terms and Conditions.

  24. Avios Group Limited (AGL) and Avolta reserve the right to change or modify these terms and conditions.   
  25. When linking your accounts your personal data will be shared between British Airways PLC, Avios Group Limited (AGL) and Avolta to facilitate the transfer of Avios into Voucher(s).
  26. Any personal information you supply will be used by British Airways PLC, Avolta and Avios Group  Limited (AGL) in accordance with their respective  Privacy Policy.
  27. This offer shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United Kingdom.
