Flights to India

Your flight time to India depends on where you’re travelling to. Flights to Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad take around 10 hours from London, while flights to Delhi arrive in around eight hours and 45 minutes. You can reach Mumbai in just over nine hours.

We fly to India from London Heathrow. There are five destinations to choose from, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Tourists often visit the country between October and March when the weather is at its best, so you may be able to find a great deal travelling outside of these months.

India is the seventh largest country in the world and has a diverse climate, so the weather can vary based on region. However, most of the country enjoys warm and dry conditions during the winter, so it’s a great time to visit.

Thanks to India’s vast size, there are two main ways to get around. You can take a plane between cities, or train. There are lots of different classes on the regular trains, so if you’re keen for comfort, opt for the higher-end options. These tend to offer carriages with air conditioning – which you’ll thank yourself for booking once you’re on board. To really treat yourself, choose one of the luxury trains.

Holidays to India have something for everyone. You can spend days just exploring the cities, travelling in rickshaws through street markets and visiting historical temples. Outdoor types can enjoy mountain treks through the Himalayas while animal lovers spot the likes of elephants and tigers in the wild. And for relaxation, the coast has miles of soft sands dotted with luxury resorts.

You can book a hand baggage-only ticket or make the most of our generous baggage allowance.
