Adventures at every turn

Discover pristine natural beauty, from the deep blue fjords and vast wilderness of the Jostedalsbreen glacier to the sparsely populated Arctic islands. Cosmopolitan Oslo is packed with museums and eclectic bars, but escape the capital to find remote villages of wooden houses nestled deep in the mountains. Visit in summer to make the most of never-ending days under the midnight sun.

Recognised as the birthplace of modern competitive skiing, Norway offers first-rate winter sports destinations with pristine, uncrowded slopes. You can also discover fascinating cities, including Oslo, the compact capital that’s surrounded by mountains and sea, and packed with award-winning cultural attractions. In the former capital Bergen, marvel at the cluster of historic wooden-framed buildings in Bryggen and cute clapperboard houses on the hillsides, while a lively student population means the city has a buzzing nightlife.

Head into the Arctic Circle to Tromso, a city surrounded by chilly fjords and craggy peaks that remain snow-capped all year. Take in the stunning view from Floya and visit the Polar Museum. Northern Lights cruises depart from here too. Book your flights to Norway today.

Carefully selected Norway hotels

Best hotels in Norway for all types of traveller

Norway welcomes visitors to its clean, well-organised cities including Oslo and Bergen. However, the Norwegian capital is miles away – in distance and character – from Bergen, with its brightly-coloured waterfront houses. The Arctic cities of Bodo and Tromso are also worth a trip; and despite being the country’s fourth-largest city, discover the natural beauty surrounding Stavanger. It presides over fjords, mountains and sandy beaches. If you love nature, Norway’s dramatic mountains and crystal clear waters are hard to resist.

Take a break in Oslo’s cultural city centre at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel. After days exploring the best of Oslo, unwind in the hotel’s indoor swimming pool and relax in the sauna, or visit the state-of-the-art gym. Taste Nordic dishes or sip a nightcap in the rooftop bar, 34th Restaurant & Bar, and soak up the glistening views of the city.

Discover Stavanger’s thriving cultural scene and an Old Town packed with some of Europe’s best preserved wooden houses, then visit the nearby white-sand beach of Sola.

The railway forms part of the popular Norway in a Nutshell tour, which also features a cruise on pretty Naeroyfjord.

It ends at the Troll’s Tongue, a thin silver of rock overlooking a stunning fjord that looks as if it’s designed for that priceless selfie.
