It means booking tickets is quicker and easier without having to add your details each and every time you use the website.
During the booking process you will be given the option to register your details to create an account. After registering and completing your booking information you will then be able to take advantage of the new 'save payment card option.'
Customers that are members of the Executive club can enter their account login details at this point and also take advantage of this function.
You can save up to nine payment cards and ba.com have been careful to ensure that the information is properly encoded so in effect it is safer storing your details on ba.com than it is entering them over the internet.

British Airways has today announced a new codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways.
The new agreement is available for sale on four of Bangkok Airways' routes:
Bangkok to Phuket
Bangkok to Koh Samui
Bangkok to Chiang Mai
Singapore to Koh Samui
The first date of travel for the new codeshare flights is 4 June 2013, and the routes can be sold as a connection with British Airways flights.
Bangkok Airways currently has a network of over 20 routes, many covering the resort destinations in Thailand. They also are hoping to launch more international destinations soon.
If you are an Executive Club Member you'll soon be able to collect Avios when you fly on a British Airways codeshare flight on the Bangkok Airways network.

British Airways received two awards for its role as official airline partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games at the prestigious BT Sports Industry Awards that took place 3 May 2013. The airline was short listed in seven categories and beat off tough competition to collect the high-profile awards for best live experience and best sponsorship of a sport event.
The best live experience award was scooped for BA’s acclaimed ‘Park Live’ venue at the Olympic Park – the only place where fans could watch the live action on site, attracting more than 700,000 visitors in total.
British Airways beat other high profile brands to the flagship Best sponsorship of a sport event prize – with the trophy fittingly awarded by Olympic silver medalist Louis Smith, one of the four athletes whom British Airways sponsored individually during the games.
Abi Comber head of marketing at British Airways, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognised for our contribution to the London 2012 Games, especially at such a prestigious awards ceremony. We’re proud to have been involved in the Games, to show the world Britain at its best.”

British Airways’ home at Heathrow, T5, has been voted the world’s best terminal in the prestigious World Airport Awards.
BA’s sister airline, Iberia, saw its base, Terminal 4 at Madrid Barajas Airport, win the number 3 spot.
Announcing T5’s award, Skytrax chairman Edward Plaisted said: “Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, passengers clearly recognise that T5 has matured into one of the world's leading passenger terminal facilities."

British Airways has today announced a new codeshare agreement with WestJet. The new agreement is available for sale on three of WestJet's routes across their extensive network:
The first date of travel for the new codeshare flights is 24 September 2012, and the routes can be sold as a connection with British Airways flights from the UK to Canada.
WestJet is the second largest carrier in Canada, operating from its main hubs of Calgary and Toronto, offering a single class service on over 70 routes across North America.
If you are an Executive Club Member you'll soon be able to collect Avios when you fly on a British Airways codeshare flight on the WestJet network.

The British Airways Galleries Club lounges have been announced the winner of the World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge. This prestigious accolade was based around the customer, the product and the service quality offered in the lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 5.

British Airways has opened a brand new Galleries lounge at Newark airport.
Facilities in the new lounge include:
British Airways flights have also relocated to operate from Gates B50-B58, meaning shorter walking distances from check-in to security and through to the lounge and departure gates.
The lounge is open to Club World and First customers and Silver and Gold Executive Club members flying out of Newark airport.
