Check in and clear security at least 35 minutes before your flight

  • You must pass through check-in no later than 45 minutes before your flight.
  • You must have entered Security at least 35 minutes before your flight departs.
  • You must be at your boarding gate at least 20 minutes before your flight departs.
  • If you do not meet these times, you will not be allowed on to your flight.

Check-in facilities at Terminal 3

Zone G offers a dedicated British Airways check-in area with Check-in kiosks and Bag Drop. There are dedicated Check-in facilities for First, Club World and Club Europe passengers.

Fast Track security is available for eligible customers. There is also a passport and visa check desk for longhaul flights and non-EU passengers.

If you have baggage to check in, you can use a check-in kiosk to print your baggage tags even if you have already printed your boarding card at home. When you have printed your baggage tags, please drop your tagged baggage at one of the Bag Drop desks.

Flight connections

If you are connecting onto another British Airways flight please ensure you are familiar with which terminal your onward flight departs from.

The Flight Connections Centre provides you with all the information you need to ensure a smooth transfer if connecting to an onward flight from any terminal at Heathrow. Distinctive purple coloured signs will guide you at all times.

  • Free bus transfers are available from Terminal 3 to Terminals 1 or 5 or vice versa
  • The recommended minimum transfer times if connecting between London Heathrow terminals is 90 minutes
