The capital's premier gourmet occasion… Taste of London.

Our Taste Team

British Airways is proud to work alongside some of the world's finest chefs and to feature some of their signature dishes on board. These are created at innovation workshops with our catering suppliers at London and around the world. Restaurant dishes are adapted to work in-flight and to complement our selection of fine wines in First and Club World.

Our menus in all cabins have been refreshed for the summer season and feature signature dishes from Shaun Hill of The Walnut Tree in Abergavenny and the newest member of the Taste Team - Cass Titcombe of Canteen. As part of the new culinary partnership Cass will create a dish for a single season over the coming year.

We have introduced a new selection of British Airways classic dishes on our menus which are honest and unpretentious in style and prepared using traditional recipes and methods. We pride ourselves in the provenance and seasonality of our ingredients, which are locally sourced wherever possible. In June customers in First Class can enjoy Shaun Hill's English Asparagus with Pea and Basil Dressing, followed by a Cream of Cauliflower Soup.

Main courses include corn fed chicken, fresh Loch Fyne haddock topped with Welsh rarebit, chargrilled fillet steak and a tiger prawn Caesar salad. A classic summer pudding as well as a selection of British and International cheese completes a first class hot meal.

Customers who fly with us in Club World can enjoy a lobster and pink grapefruit hors d'oeuvre, followed by a classic fillet steak béarnaise and finish with a seasonal strawberry and vanilla delice.

Our World Traveller menu is centred around family friendliness and supports our corporate responsibility goals by providing a simple green salad in disposable packaging which is made from 50% recycled plastic, which can then be recycled again. Main courses for the summer menu include Chicken Toscana whilst a chocolate mousse cake completes the service.
