Spending points

Businesspeople in a meeting.

Spending On Business Points

For your company to be eligible to start redeeming points, it only needs two of your colleagues to have flown on qualifying flights that have been booked with your membership number.

It is entirely up to you how you choose to spend your points. You can redeem them on flights, upgrades or Marriott hotel e-certificates.

Please be aware you cannot redeem On Business Points on American Airlines, Iberia, Japan Airlines or Qantas operated flights.

Spend points on reward flights

If your colleagues have a lot of overseas meetings to attend, you may decide that the best way to spend your points is on reward flights.

You can be flexible too: points can be spent up to one full day before travel. For example, you can book as late as Wednesday for a reward flight on Friday.

You can even make date and time changes to your reward flights at no extra cost via Manage My Booking. You can do this up to 24 hours before the departure of your original flight, subject to availability.

To redeem points for reward flights or to change your booking, log in to your On Business account.

Spend points on upgrades

Why not spend your points on flight upgrades to ensure your colleagues arrive fully rested and ready to do business?

You can use your points to upgrade one travel class. That means a colleague who usually travels to New York in World Traveller Plus can enjoy the added comfort of a fully flat bed in Club World business. Similarly, if they normally fly shorthaul in our Euro Traveller economy cabin, they can upgrade to Club Europe business.

To redeem points for an upgrade, log in to your On Business account to book your flight and use your points to upgrade in one transaction. Upgrades must be arranged at the time of booking.

Spend points on hotel stays

Your business can also use your points towards a one-night hotel stay in a range1 of Marriott hotels in most countries. Points can be redeemed for e-certificates in one-night increments that cover room costs, breakfast for two and hotel taxes.

Redeeming is easy. Simply request the e-certificates on ba.com and Marriott will issue them to your Programme Administrator or nominated travel agent by email. You then have the option of using Marriott’s online booking tool or calling Marriott reservations to make the booking.

By redeeming your points for Marriott e-certificates, your colleagues can enjoy the high standards of comfort and service at over 3,200 locations worldwide.

Please note. The number of points required to make a hotel redemption will vary depending on where you or your colleagues intend to stay, rather than where your company is based.

1 Exclusions apply. A limited number of properties such as Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Executive Stays are not included.
