Up-close animal encounters
There are plenty of places to get up-close with your favourite
marine life at SeaWorld. Touch and feed a stingray in the
Stingray Lagoon® at Key West®, or listen to the calls of those noisy
sealions in Pacific Point Preserve®. You can also feed them a
fish or two at feeding time.
If you'd prefer to cool off, there's the Penguin Encounter®,
where you can watch different species of penguins dive, swim
and play. And for those of you who like the more predatory
creatures of the deep, head to Shark Encounter®, where you'll
find yourself inches away from sharks, barracuda, slithering
eels and venomous fish. The only thing separating you and them
will be an acrylic tube.
Find out more about one of Florida’s most famous but endangered residents, the Manatee, in Manatee Rescue®.
SeaWorld often acts as a halfway house for the sick and injured
gentle giants, where they're cared for with the aim of releasing
them back into the wild once they're well again.
