Most cafes open early for breakfast, while upmarket restaurants serve late into the evening and fast-food outlets stay open all night. Book ahead for upmarket and popular restaurants. Check your bill before tipping; if service is not added, it's usual to pay 10-15% extra.
Head to Ybor City for Tampa's liveliest nightlife, especially around Centro Ybor along Seventh Avenue, where there are several salsa bars to choose from.
