Orlando

Snorkelling in Orlando.
Overview

Orlando is the home of Mickey Mouse, Shamu and, recently, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s also great for shopping, golf and spa holidays. Families have long been drawn to the buzz and excitement of this colourful city, but an increasing number of visitors are couples and groups of friends. When you come here you’ll quickly realise, there’s so much to see and do, that it takes several return visits to see it all.

Orlando - the essentials

Think of a holiday in Florida and you’ll probably think of Orlando. British Airways offer flights to Orlando,Tampa and Miami every day – making this fun-filled destination easily accessible.

You’ll find a wide range of villas, apartments and hotels in Orlando to choose from. Whether you want a private swimming pool for the kids, kitchen facilities to host a party for your friends, or a spa hotel to spoil the one you love, we have something for you.

If you stay on International Drive, a great bus service links this main road with the Walt Disney World Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Orlando Resort© theme parks. We also recommend hiring a car. It’ll really help you really explore Orlando and the surrounding areas.

Your first visit to Orlando

No matter what your age, and who you holiday with, Orlando’s theme parks and water parks are a must-do. Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort© and SeaWorld Orlando offer a huge range of thrill-rides, animal parks and entertainment.

And, if you find a moment to spare outside the theme parks, head to the many shopping malls and designer outlets. There’s an endless choice of bargains vying for your attention.

Return trips to Orlando

Beyond the vibrant theme parks are challenging golf courses, indulgent spa hotels, and a lively nightlife scene. And when you step out to eat, you’ll discover a superb range of restaurants and bars – from great value family eateries to fine dining bistros.

If you have a day or two to spare, rent a car and go on a road trip across Florida. It’s around 90 minutes’ drive to Tampa, and the thrilling rides of Busch Gardens. Alternatively, the sandy beaches and warm seas of Florida’s Gulf Coast are around two hours away. And if you want to take a longer trip, driving down the Gold Coast will take you through the marinas of Fort Lauderdale, sun-bleached, grand-Floridian luxury of Boca Raton, and the buzzing Latin culture of Miami.
