Nicholas Lander, The Financial Times
In 1981, Nicholas Lander bought and then reopened L'Escargot, Soho, a London favourite that had fallen on hard times. The restaurant became more and more popular until ill health forced him to sell at the end of the 1980's.
From his experiences at L'Escargot, he then began to write about restaurants for the Financial Times.
As well as British Airways, Lander also acts as food consultant for the Royal Opera House, British Museum, Vinopolis, the Royal Festival Hall and The Baltic, an exciting modern art gallery.
