Our seating policy

		We offer more control to the following customers
Free at the time of booking		First passengers, Gold Executive Club members, oneworld® equivalents and other passengers on the same booking Silver Executive Club members, oneworld® equivalents and other passengers on the same booking* Customers holding fully flexible tickets booked in J/C/W/Y booking classes* Travelling with infants Customers with additional needs what's this? You can choose your seat at the time of booking and change it at any time until you have checked in. Customers can choose a seat for free at time of booking, except exit row seats in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus which can be purchased from 10 to 4 days prior to their flight as below. 		We offer a paid option to many of our other customers
Purchase at the time of booking		You can choose to pay for a pre-assigned seat at the time of booking until 24 hours before departure, by taking advantage of our paid seating option. Find out more Please note, some customers are not eligible to choose seats in advance: Children travelling alone (Skyflyers Solo) All unticketed passengers, e.g. those travelling on a cruise or packaged holiday who have not yet received confirmation of their ticket numbers from their Agent. Customers travelling as part of an allocation or specialised group Customers travelling on flights operated by BA Cityflyer, or those operated by any British Airways franchisee or alliance airline, or any flight operated by a codeshare partner

		We offer more choice to the following customers
Purchase 10 days before departure		Customers travelling in World Traveller or World Traveller Plus You will be able to choose and pay for an exit row seat from 10 days to 4 days before departure, subject to availability. Find out more Please note, some customers are not eligible to choose seats in advance, as listed above.

		We offer more help to the following customers
Free 3 days before departure		Passengers travelling with children aged 2-11 years (if not taken advantage of paid seating option) Skyflyers solo (children travelling alone) - seat change restrictions apply Specialised groups - seat change restrictions apply what's this? You will be allocated seats approximately 3 days before flight departure. Seats can be changed at the time of check-in.

		We offer everybody more choice
Free at check-in (from 24 hours before departure)		If you have not already pre-assigned your seat at the time of check-in, all remaining seats in your travel class will be available for you to choose from, free of charge.
