Flight connections

All British Airways and oneworld flights arrive at and depart from Terminal 4 and its satellite Terminal 4S.

Baggage claim for all arriving passengers is located in Terminal 4.

Transit desks are located in the arrival and departure areas.

Connecting between Terminals 4 and 4S

  • There is an automatic train that leaves every three minutes continually day and night. The automatic train takes approximately four minutes between Terminals T4 and T4S.


Connecting between Terminal 4 and Terminals 1, 2, and 3

  • There is a transit bus that operates between 06:00 and 23:00.

Lounges

Sala Dali (Iberia)

  • Location details: Terminal 4 Domestic and Schengen, Level 2, just after security controls
  • Opening hours: Daily 06:00 - 00:00

 

Sala Velazquez (Iberia)

  • Location details: Terminal 4S International and non-Schengen, Level 1, in central area beyond shops and restaurants
  • Opening hours: Daily 24 hours

 

Sala Goya (Iberia)

  • Location details: Terminal 4S Domestic and Schengen, Level 0, beyond lift doors on right hand side
  • Opening hours: Daily 06:00 - 00:00

 

Note: 
At peak periods, access to certain lounges may be restricted due to capacity constraints. Access is available on the day of departure when the next onward flight is with a oneworld member airline. Access may not apply at a limited number of third party lounges.

Madrid-Barajas Airport is located 12 km (8 miles) northeast of central Madrid.

Trains

Metro Line number 8 serves Madrid Barajas airport, running between the Nuevos Ministerios station in Madrid city centre and all terminals at the airport.

Taxis

Taxi icon

Taxis are available outside the Arrivals area of each terminals. The journey time to and from central Madrid is 25 to 35 minutes, but it can take much longer at peak times.
