Departing from Dubai airport
- The check-in area for British Airways flights is located at Gate 3, Dubai International Airport, Terminal 1.
- All customers must arrive at the check-in desk no later than 75 minutes prior to departure.
- Gold and Silver Executive Club members, FIRST and Club World customers can relax at the Terraces lounge located next to boarding gate 22.
- At the boarding gate customers will be required to go through additional security screening so please ensure you arrive at the gate well in advance.
- Please note the new restrictions regarding carriage of liquids, gels and creams from Dubai Airport, which are now in effect.
The restrictions are in line with those in place for the United Kingdom, the European Union and North America and apply to passengers of all airlines.
General Liquids
Passengers departing Dubai will be permitted to carry limited quantities of liquids, gels and creams, but these must be placed in a clear plastic re-sealable bag, measuring a maximum of 20cm x 20cm (or equivalent to one litre capacity), with individual containers not exceeding 100ml (approximately 3.5 fl. oz). Items must fit in the bag comfortably and the bag must be completely closed and sealed.
Limited quantities of liquids, gels and pastes may include:
| Shampoo | Creams | Hair gel, Hair spray |
| Suntan lotions | Toothpaste | Liquid or Aerosol deodorants |
| Perfumes | Cosmetics(i.e mascara, lip gloss) | Other items of a similar consistency |
At the airport security search, passengers will be asked to remove the plastic bag from their cabin baggage for it to be x-ray screened separately. Once they have cleared security, they will not be able to purchase any liquid items to take on-board the aircraft if their journey involves an onward connection from any UK airport.
Duty Free items
Passengers who end their journey at London can buy duty free items from the airport shops at Dubai Airport, or onboard the aircraft. However passengers who are transferring at London to another flight (irrespective of carrier or final destination) cannot buy duty free at Dubai Airport. They can only buy duty free items on-board the aircraft, or at duty free outlets in London when transferring.
