British Airways flys direct to New York
British Airways is planning to launch its new US-EU subsidiary airline "OpenSkies" with daily flights from New York to Brussels and Paris
The airline will launch in June 2008 with one Boeing 757 aircraft that will operate from New York to either Brussels or Paris Charles de Gaulle airports. A second aircraft will be added to the fleet later this year to fly to the other EU destination. The plan is to operate six 757s by the end of 2009, all of which will be sourced from the current British Airways' fleet.
The aircraft will carry up to 82 passengers on Boeing 757 aircraft with three onboard cabins: business, premium economy and economy.
OpenSkies' business class cabin has 24 seats that convert into 6' flat beds. There will be 28 premium economy seats with a 52" seat pitch and 30 economy seats.
The 757s will have winglets retro-fitted on the aircraft. These will improve fuel efficiency reducing the aircraft's CO2 emissions per kilometre flown and increasing the aircraft's operating range.

British Airways operations moves locationat Brussels Airport
From 14th May 2008, British Airways at Brussels Airport will move our operations as follows;
Our check-in desk will move from row 8 to row 3, (desk 1-4).
Our self –service kiosks will move to row 3.
Our ticket desk will be located at the end of row 2, to the left of the immigration desk.

Travelling between Gatwick and central London made easier
Transport for London (TfL) and Gatwick Express have joined forces to enable passengers on the dedicated airport train service to buy Oyster cards before they reach the capital. The plan is to make life easier for inbound passengers at London’s number two airport.
The 30-minute express service arrives into Victoria Station near Buckingham Palace. Trains depart every 15 minutes, and passengers can pay for the journey and the Oyster card once on board the train.
The Oyster card allows travellers the freedom to travel all over the entire TfL system, mindful that they must touch in and touch out at the start and finish of a journey. The cost-effective piece of plastic automatically deducts the correct fare.
